For instance, their mathematics did not clearly recognize zero and negative numbers as legitimate numbers, and they did not have good algebraic notation. Thus, Archimedes was not quite there with integral calculus, though he did anticipate some of its ideas.

That being said, I do think that ancient science Lorenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13984896453534621864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36959219.post-75498296623248614522007-10-07T21:36:00.000-07:002007-10-07T21:36:00.000-07:00Richard,I think you'll be interested in this one: ...Richard,

I think you'll be interested in this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Closing-Western-Mind-Faith-Reason/dp/140004085X

I'd be interested on your opinion about it or its author.Juan Ignacio Geloshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11784454991497961698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36959219.post-60859833695457998262007-09-28T23:05:00.000-07:002007-09-28T23:05:00.000-07:00Great list: Thanks for compiling it.Great list: Thanks for compiling it.Blue Devil Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12045468316613818510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36959219.post-30327238384351500202007-09-22T12:50:00.000-07:002007-09-22T12:50:00.000-07:00Gee Richard,I'm surprised that the Koran isn't lis...Gee Richard,

I'm surprised that the Koran isn't listed among those books.

[/sarcasm]The Science Pundithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14497373296651049624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36959219.post-582509597323460872007-09-20T09:10:00.000-07:002007-09-20T09:10:00.000-07:00For some reason these authors are sounding awfully...For some reason these authors are sounding awfully familiar to me.
;)Abyss of Silencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17048484233032269433noreply@blogger.com
